Chris was admitted as a solicitor in 1990, and established the firm in 1993 to meet the need for specialist advice from an entirely family orientated practice. He has also been a Advanced Member of The Law Society’s ‘Family Law Advanced’ Panel since its inception.
Chris specialises in divorce and in particular the resolution of financial issues.
Chris has an indepth knowledge of making applications on behalf of unmarried parents for financial provision on behalf of children pursuant to Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989.
Chris also has considerable experience in dealing with private disputes in respect of children including residence, contact and Parental Responsibility Orders.
The vast majority of his work is received through recommendations including, on a number of occasions, by parties against whom he has acted. Chris is always anxious to ensure that when parties are going through the most difficult times of their life, they are dealt with in an approachable manner with no standing on ceremony.
Helen was admitted as a solicitor in 1999, joining Reeves & Co as an associate solicitor in 2003. Since qualifying she has worked exclusively in family and matrimonial law, dealing with all aspects of family breakdown, domestic violence and ‘Children Act’ work. Helen now specialises in child care work including representing parents and other family members in actions involving Local Authorities.
Work is received from recommendations by existing and former clients, the Women’s Refuge and other firms. Helen is also a volunteer at the Citizens Advice Bureau and is a member of Resolution.
